Athlete Profile: Gavin Bates

Gavin Bates is a varsity guard and senior for the Lions. In his first 15 games this season he averaged 23.9 PPG and 5.7 rebounds per game. Gavin leads the team in points and points per game.

He has a sophomore brother, Parker Bates, who plays on the JV and C squad team. Gavin and Paker run cross country, track, and play basketball. Gavin played on an AAU basketball team in the summer of 2021 and plans to play 2022 spring and summer AAU. Gavin plans on going on a 2 year church mission and later playing college basketball.
